CLEVELAND, Ohio — February 2, 2026 — Hospice of the Western Reserve is now operating under a new name, Reserve Care, reflecting the organization’s full scope of services and its role supporting individuals and families across Ohio through caregiving, serious illness and end of life.
Founded nearly 50 years ago as a leading nonprofit hospice provider in Northeast Ohio, the organization has served nearly 640,000 patients and family members throughout its history. Over time, it has expanded to offer personalized services across the continuum of care, including hospice and palliative care, pediatric services, grief and caregiver support, art and music therapies and community resale shops that help fund care. With more than 10 locations statewide and 24/7 care available wherever patients call home, Reserve Care serves communities across Ohio at every stage of advanced illness. The new name unites these services under a clear, connected brand that reflects who the organization is today, honoring decades of care as Hospice of the Western Reserve while looking ahead to the next chapter. “Reserve Care more clearly reflects the breadth of care we provide and the way we walk alongside people over the course of their care journey,” said Bill Finn, president and CEO of Reserve Care.

“It honors nearly five decades of trust built as Hospice of the Western Reserve while giving us a name that better reflects how we serve patients, caregivers and families today and how we will continue to serve them in the future. This moment reflects deep gratitude for the clinicians, staff, volunteers, donors and partners who make this care possible and for the patients and loved ones who place their trust in us every day.” The transition to Reserve Care does not change the care patients and families receive. The organization’s mission, values, leadership and care teams remain the same, ensuring continuity of care for families across Ohio. “Our focus remains exactly where it has always been, on providing expert, compassionate and steady guidance during some of life’s most complex moments,” Finn said. “As Reserve Care, we will continue to lead with clinical excellence, strong partnerships and a deep commitment to meeting people where they are, whenever and however they need us.”
